Why protect stormwater?
Pollutants can smother the stream aquatic habitat, reduce water clarity and degrade water for drinking and water-contact recreation. Protecting storm water quality keeps the University and its receiving streams clean and beautiful.
Moreover, it is the law. State and federal regulations prohibit storm water pollution and require the employment of best management practices.
