Top Six Things You Can Do on Campus to Prevent Stormwater Pollution

  1. Keep laboratory chemicals out of ALL drains.
  2. Refer to the UIUC Chemical Waste Management Guide for proper chemical disposal.
  3. Dispose of nonhazardous liquids down interior drains.
  4. Keep liquids out of dormitory trash receptacles.
  5. Don't litter. Storms wash trash into the storm drain where it doesn't belong.
  6. Participate in a campus storm drain labeling event.
