Changes with DoR Coordination
Amber Vega, who has served as the Division of Responsibility (DoR) Coordinator at Facilities & Services since January 2012, has accepted a position outside of the University. Her last day at F&S will be Thursday, May 17. Until the DoR Coordinator role can be filled, please direct any DoR related inquiries to Dee Dee Caneva at 244-8629 or dcaneva@illinois.edu.

Campus Mail Requests Are Now Online
Campus Mail Distribution is utilizing the my.FS web portal for U.S. Mail pickup and all requests for special Campus and U.S. Mail processing. There will be no changes to the Daily Mail pick-up service currently being provided to departments by Campus Mail Distribution. If you have questions about a mailing, please contact Campus Mail Distribution at 265-6863.

Beckman Fountain Out of Commission
The Beckman fountain will not be operational during commencement weekend. An unscheduled power outage occurred in the equipment vault that serves the Beckman fountain. Subsequent flooding destroyed the electrical panels that operate the pumps that supply water to the fountain. The replacement equipment will not arrive in time for this year’s commencement.

The Volts Are Here!
F&S Car Pool has two new Chevy Volts for Faculty and Staff to use. With an extended range of 300 miles on a full tank of gas, the Volts (Silver & Blue) really can go anywhere. The cars are sustainable for the University, as they run on electricity for a 30 to 40 mile range and then gas takes over. Both cars seat four passengers and have front-wheel drive. There is no training involved, you can just get in and go. For more details contact F&S Car Pool: 333-3190.
