SPCC Seminar - Preventing and Responding to Oil or Fuel Spills Annual training in federal oil pollution prevention regulation and spill prevention is required for UIUC employees and students who dispense or handle petroleum oil, fuel or cooking oil on campus. This one-hour session provides an introduction to the UIUC's Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan. Instruction is provided in the correct handling and disposal of oil and standard procedures to prevent oil spills to the environment. Common spill occurrences and actions to take in case of a spill are also highlighted. Please contact Environmental Compliance at (217) 333-0304 or ecs@uiuc.edu for further information. Storm Water Permitting and Permit Compliance Requirements at Construction Sites This is a training session for campus construction units
(CCUs) that covers such topics as storm water permit
applicability, application process, and implementation. In
approximately one hour, ECS will review permitting
deadlines, allowable discharges, inspection requirements,
and reporting responsibilities.
