Become an Environmental Mentor!

Facilities and Services, Environmental Compliance Department, applied for and received a grant from the Vice Chancellor for Public Engagement to develop an environmentnal program for the Don Moyer Boys & Girls Club.

This education program incorporates arts and sciences to promote environmental responsibility and community relationships. The program includes instructional seminars, hands-on classroom activities and outdoor endeavors within five learning units:

  • All Our Stuff: Consumerism and the life cycle of products.
  • Water Water Everywhere: Water cycle from groundwater to tap and beyond.
  • A Day in the Life: Responsible choices every day. 
  • Where we Live: Urban landscape and community interactions. 
  • Green Market: Green infrastructure, businesses and job opportunities.
