TUITION AND SERVICE FEE WAIVERS FOR ACADEMIC STAFF MEMBERS AND FOR ALLIED AGENCIES
Academic staff members, excluding those appointed in the assistant category, are eligible for a tuition and service fee waiver if they hold appointments at 25% or more of full-time service. Included in this policy are staff members of allied agencies who are considered equivalent to academic staff members of the University.
All academic staff members, excluding those in the assistantship category, who register for University of Illinois courses are eligible for a tuition and service fee waiver if they hold an appointment of twenty-five percent or more of full-time service. Also, included in this policy are staff members of allied agencies who are considered equivalent to academic staff members of the University. This policy may not be applied retroactively.
All faculty and academic professional employees at the University and allied agencies who have appointments which are twenty-five percent or more of full-time service are eligible for the tuition and service fee waiver policy as stated above. The tuition and service fee waiver policy for graduate assistants remains unchanged. This means that assistants with appointments twenty-five through sixty-seven percent of full time for at least three-fourths of the term receive a waiver of tuition and service fees. Further, assistants with appointments greater than sixty-seven percent for at least three-fourths of the term are eligible for a waiver of the service fee only.
Previously required forms to obtain a tuition waiver for one hundred percent academic professional employees do not need to be completed under the current policy.
