Printing technology saves water and chemical use
The Printing Department installed a chemistry free plate-making imaging technology, computer-to-plate (CTP). This technology has several advantages over the older process. It reduces the campus' water use by 1.3 million gallons -- significantly lightening our water footprint. Additionally, CTP reduces the Printing Department's chemical usage by 95%.
