Continue to pursue green custodial products
The Maintenance Division uses several Green Seal Certified products for their custodial services.
One example is the carpet cleaning program, which uses H2 Orange 2® Carpet Complete and plain water. H2 Orange 2® Carpet Complete is a Green Seal Certified anti-bacterial agent that improves indoor air quality and sanitation. It is odor-free and residue-free. Carpet manufactures approve it because it is gentle on the carpet surface and will not harm the fibers. Workers like it because it does not irritate their skin or respiratory systems.

In the near future, Maintenance will be testing Green Seal Certified products that are made of corn and soybeans. Additionally, Maintenance is looking into Green Seal Certified Tenant scrubbers "Fast"® System for auto scrubbing hard floor surfaces. This system uses 70% less solution than the conventional auto scrubbers, saving chemical and water. It is a foam based cleaner, which is better than conventional liquids because it holds and removes more dirt from the floor.
